Casale Media adds new ad sizes

Casale Media have added wide skyscrapers and rectangles to their selection of ad sizes available to advertisers and publishers. They have also updated their campaign manager to enable publishers to more easily view and remove campaigns from across different ad sizes

Canep Media launches

Canep Media has comes out of its Beta testing phase to allow a wider slection of sites to join its advertising network. With this official launch they have reduced the minimum payment threshold to $25, and added new payment options including Paypal and Direct Deposit to enabled publishers to more easily receive their earnings. They have also expanded their customer service and sales teams to manage the increased advertiser and publisher bases.

Adregate Launched

Adregate, the new ad management and serving web application that we have been following since early beta, has just launched. It was developed as a replacement for all the other monolithic and bloated ad management and serving applications out there, and has a free version available for smaller sites with paid plans for those with more traffic.

Burst revamps publisher interface

Burst Media have finally upgraded their publisher interface after listening to their publishers in a number of past surveys. The interface was one of the main complaints about Burst, one of the leading top tier ad networks, but they have finished implementing their new look upgrade which gives publishers access to a lot more stats and information on the first page, with further information still available under the various tabs and links. It is still not the prettiest interface available in comparison with Valueclick Media and Casale Media, but now offers all the major functions a publisher needs from on the main page and is a vast improvement over their previous version.

Yahoo acquires Right Media

Yahoo have announced that they are acquiring the 80% of Right Media that they don't already own for $680 million. This gives Yahoo more tools to combine with its Panama platform to take on Google in the online advertising market. Right Media brings both their ad marketplace called Right Media Exchange (formerly Yield Manager) offering more efficient advertising pricing and their publisher platform called RMX-Direct.

Google acquires DoubleClick

Google has reportedly spent $3.1 Billion to acquire DoubleClick in order to gain control and access of their ad serving solution and most importantly their long established and large network of clients. This gives Google a great ad serving platform, but most importantly for them keeps these clients away from Microsoft who were also bidding on DoubleClick and are launching their own advertising products.

ValueClick testing in-stream video advertising

ValueClick are readying an open beta release of an in-stream video advertising format so that publishers can properly monetise their video content. They claim that most common video formats are supported and the solution is easy to implement as ell as offering high CPMs. This ad technology and space is hotting up in times of competition at the moment with the growth and recent acquisition of Youtube.

Adregate readying beta release

It appears that Adregate, an impressive sounding new hosted ad serving solution is preparing to launch their first private beta. Although no-one has been able to have a good look at this yet, it appears that it will be offering a few web 2.0 niceties and maybe some payment integration, which would fill a current gap in the market.

RMX Direct Launched

Right Media, the creators of Yield Manager (aka Right Media Exchange) have just launched the first public beta of their RMX Direct publisher platform, which lets publishers have more control over the ads they serve from YM ad networks and advertisers. They have 8 networks currently available to RMX Direct publishers and it looks very promising.
